Dubai-based Mindware, a distributor of information technology (IT) products in the Middle East and Africa, has launched a B2B eCommerce website in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and said it will soon do so in other regional markets.

With the launch of the Mindware Store in the UAE, the company aims to add digital offerings to its traditional business, expand its market reach via this new channel and provide resellers with a “modern and engaging online shopping experience,” according to a Tuesday (Sept. 20) press release.

“B2B buying behaviors have undoubtedly been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic,” Mindware CEO Philippe Jarre said in the release. “The launch of the Mindware Store is in response to this evolving market landscape.”

Per the release, the Mindware Store offers the company’s partners an immediate credit line, access to a variety of brands and products and real-time information about availability, prices and offers. It also offers expedited shipping options and an interactive dashboard that provides credit balance, invoice and other information.

The release noted the website also offers multiple payment options, including purchasing through the available credit facility, a credit card and cash on delivery (COD).

New partners can onboard in a three-step process and can be approved within 48 hours. All partners can use the Mindware Store to order at any time using a desktop or mobile device, per the release.

“As a leading regional distributor, we pride ourselves on our ability to drive technological innovation in order to positively impact our business and that of our channel ecosystem,” Jarre said.

As is the case with B2B buyers, consumers in the UAE have embraced digital shopping. PYMNTS research has found that almost 60% of shoppers in the UAE use their smartphone at some point during their in-store shopping journeys.

That’s a greater share than in any of the other five countries surveyed — Australia, Brazil, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States — according to “The 2022 Global Digital Shopping Index: SMB Edition,” a PYMNTS and Cybersource collaboration.
