A new restaurant has officially opened in Downtown Twin Falls and I cannot wait to give it a shot. It is called El Fogon and it is located where the old Lonesome Dove use to be at 600 Main Ave N. The building was vacant for a long time, until recently.

El Fogon Details

It looks like the restaurant officially opened on September 17th. There is not a whole lot of information about them online yet and I have tried to call to get more details but I haven't been able to just yet. I will update as more information becomes available. However, it looks like the restaurant opens at 11 am. The good news is, I have been able to find a menu and I am excited.

Menu Of El Fogon

They will be making authentic tacos. There will be pastor, adobada, bistekc, asada and birria for tacors. Quesadillas you can get as quesabirrias, pastor, adobada and bisteck. It looks like they are going to focus on tacos and quesadillas pretty exclusively and make sure they are amazing. They are already getting great reviews. They will also have soda and Aguas Frescas. They make all of their tortillas by hand as well which is fantastic.

The Building Before El Fogon

Before the building was El Fogon, it was also Sweet T's Cupcakery. It was their second location. Prior to that, it was empty for a long time. Sweet T's opened it a few years ago and the last known business I know that was there was Lonesome Dove which was a bar.

There is no such thing as too many restaurants and I am excited to give this one a try. The tacos look phenomenal.
