I just got back from a quick trip to Vegas and I didn't realize how much I missed certain things about Rockford.  Never thought I'd be saying that, ever.

The familiar roads are what I miss the most.

It's really nerve-racking driving in a new city and have no idea how to flow with the traffic.  It's embarrassing when locals know you're a tourist based on how you drive in their city (lol).  At least when I'm in Rockford I know the one-ways and how people drive.

Honestly, I know what I WOULDN'T miss...  the left turn light that takes F O R E V E R at Alpine and East State Street.

Man, I could go through 3 cycles of that light changing before I even get to the front of the line.  You know what I'm talking about!!!

Also, I'd miss my dad's homemade cooking.

My parents have lived in Rockford majority of their lives, so if I ever moved away I'd actually be pretty bummed I couldn't have easy access to free food from my parents' house.  After all, ya girl is on a tight budget!

Now it's your turn.  What do you miss the most when you leave Rockford?

Maybe it's the food, your favorite local shops, or all the family and friends who you can't just drive down the street to visit?  Here's what my Rockford friends had to say!
