Somerset Community College, which has a satellite campus in Russell Springs, has been recognized as one of the best employers in higher education in the nation, according to a survey by the “Great Colleges to Work For” program.
The results are based on a survey of 212 colleges and universities, including 82 two-year colleges. SCC earned honors in two categories this year, Supervisor/Department Chair Effectiveness and Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging.
The survey results are based on a two-part assessment process: an institution questionnaire that captured employment data and workplace policies from each institution, and a survey administered to faculty, administrators, and professional support staff.
ModernThink, a strategic human capital consulting firm, administered the survey and analyzed the results.
