Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – Just after 2 a.m. on Sept 17 officers and detectives from the Foley Police Department and Deputies with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3rd Base Sports Bar located in the 12000 block of U.S. 98 in Foley for a report of a shooting.
Once on scene, they determined that Gary Patterson, 48, of Foley had suffered a gunshot wound to the forehead following a physical altercation with another person. The person that shot Patterson had fled from the location. The victim was flown to University Hospital in Mobile by Medstar AirCare. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening at this time and is in stable condition.
The investigation led to Terrance Andre Hayes, 36, of Foley being identified as the person who shot Patterson.
On Sept. 18 Foley Police located and arrested Hayes in Foley. He is being charged with one count of assault in the first degree and one count of felon in possession of a firearm. Both are felonies.
