The Lakeland Gazette is kicking off City Government Week with an essay contest open to all.
The theme is “If I Were Mayor”. You need to answer the following questions in their essay:
• Why is Lakeland great? What makes it special?
• What would you do to improve Lakeland if you were mayor?
No more than 400 words.
