Jamestown votes to lower city taxes

The Jamestown City Council voted to lower city taxes at its meeting last night.

Real and personal property will be taxed at 15.8 cents per $100 of assessed value.

That’s down from 16.8 cents the year before.

The council unanimously approved the new tax rate.
