Two people including a child were shot in the Hill District late Wednesday night.
Police officers, SWAT and EMS were called to the 2800 block of Centre Ave for the shooting. Officials said the call came in around 9:30 p.m.
Two people were shot inside an apartment building according to officers. A child was grazed by a bullet in the head and a second victim was shot in the thumb. Both victims were taken to local hospitals in stable condition. Officials say one person was detained, officials said.
Officials say SWAT and K9 officers cleared the building for a possible armed suspect inside. No suspect was found but a weapon was.
Police are investigating.
