The Duluth community is planning a show of support for Sheila St. Clair - who has been missing since 2015 - with a public event this week.  Officials with the City of Duluth are inviting the general public to join them Thursday, September 15 at 12:30 PM on the steps of the City Hall for a vigil for the 55-year old Native American woman.

Law enforcement officials hope that the vigil will serve as an opportunity to remind the public to come forward with any information they may have about Sheila St. Clair and here whereabouts.  Officials suggest that any details - no matter how small - could be the break they need in this missing persons case.  They want the vigil to help keep Sheila in the hearts and minds of people across the Duluth area.  The Duluth Police Department shares the communities desire and concern to see that justice is served in this case. The disappearance of Sheila St. Clair remains an active case for authorities.

This vigil has become an annual gathering for the community in the seven years since her disappearance.

St. Clair was last seen in the Duluth area on Thursday, August 20, 2015. Her last noted location was "in the area of the 100 Block of West 3rd Street".  St. Clair's initial disappearance wasn't reported "until about 20 days later".   While an investigation has been active since then, law enforcement is still looking to solve the missing persons case.

If you have information that could help solve this case, you're asked to contact the Duluth Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit:  219-730-5050.
