Four Arkansans killed in Hot Springs wreck
Four people were killed in a wreck in Hot Springs Saturday afternoon, according to a preliminary crash summary from the Arkansas Department of Public Safety.Andres Gonzalez, 43, of Glenwood, was driving a 2020 Hyundai east on Highway 70 in the rain, according to the report. The car crossed into the westbound lanes.Linda Godwin, 67, of Royal, was driving west and swerved to avoid the Hyundai. Her vehicle hit a third car. The Hyundai then hit Godwin's car anyway, as did a fourth vehicle.Godwin was pronounced dead at the scene. Two of her passengers, Rebekah Schaffer, 35 of Royal, and a child were also killed.Julieanna Gonzalez, 35, of Glenwood, a passenger in the Hyundai, was also killed.Andres Gonzalez was injured and taken to the University of Arkansas for Medical Science.
