CASSELTON, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Oakes defeated the Aggies of Park River 48-12 on Friday night.

Oakes’ defense continued its dominating season by forcing 4 turnovers and adding two sacks. Oakes recovered two fumbles and picked the ball off twice. Heim and Dolney had interceptions, while Skoglund and Kelly recovered fumbles.
Oakes’ offense also was firing on all cylinders. The first three touchdowns all came on the same play for the Tornadoes. Vossler found Skoglund on a play-action pass three separate times to help the Tornadoes jump out to an early lead. The Aggies’ two touchdowns of the night came off a Rosinski rushing touchdown and a second-half kick-off return.
Final score 48-12 and Oakes improves to 4-0 (3-0) on the year.
Oakes will play Linton next Friday (9/16) for Oakes’ homecoming game.
