SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – The new omicron-targeting or "bivalent" COVID-19 vaccines are on their way to arms as clinics wait patiently for shipments across the country.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved the new vaccines late last week and some parts of the country, New York for example, are already handing out doses.
