LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – A woman was charged in Laurel County after two young children were found walking along a road in London.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that 35-year-old Teia Carter was charged with two counts of second-degree wanton endangerment.
The office said a two-year-old boy was found walking in the ditch line and a three-year-old boy was found walking along the side of the road on London Dock Road on Aug. 26 with no adult supervision.
The sheriff’s office called child protective services and began an investigation into the situation.
Carter was booked into the Laurel County Correctional Center at 7:46 p.m. on Monday.
