Waterbury resident dies in car crash

Stratford, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-A Waterbury resident died from his injuries today sustained in a Stratford two-vehicle crash last Thursday, police said.

The  accident happened around 1:30 PM in the area of South Avenue and Spada Boulevard.

Police determined a Honda driven by Jamar Blackburn, 38, of Bridgeport exited I 95 south at exit 31 and crashed into a Ford pickup driven by Jason Fonseca-Kennedy, 26, of Waterbury.
Police said Fonseca-Kennedy's pickup rolled over.

Police said Fonseca-Kennedy died from his injuries today at Bridgeport Hospital.

Blackburn was treated for his injuries.

The investigation continues. Police said charges are pending.
