IMPD: Officers investigate deadly northwest side shooting

Indianapolis Metro Police officers got a call reporting a person shot just before 1 a.m. Saturday in the 4400 block of Fullwood Court.

INDIANAPOLIS — A death investigation is underway after a fatal shooting on Indianapolis' northwest side early Saturday.

IMPD officers got a call reporting a person shot just before 1 a.m. in the 4400 block of Fullwood Court, which is just south of 46th Street and Moller Road. They discovered a man with an apparent gunshot wound inside the residence.

Medics pronounced him dead at the scene, according to an IMPD spokesperson.

The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the deceased as 20-year-old Raishawn Gunn.

The spokesperson didn't share additional details on what may have led to the shooting or whether investigators have a suspect in the case.

NOTE: The Marion County Coroner's Office previously said the victim was 60 years old but later sent a correction, confirming the victim was 20.
