2022 series launch features with a
performance by The Highwayman

Love Catalina Island, the official Tourism Authority for Catalina Island, will be presenting Tony Suraci–The Highwayman, in a Wrigley Stage concert, Aug. 20, at 8 p.m. The free family friendly concert will feature Suraci, who is an immensely gifted vocalist who channels the spirits and voices of the original Highwaymen in a breathtaking two-hour performance. Prepare to be amazed how one man can emulate all four of Outlaw Country’s favorite musical icons. Critics have said, “Tony’s nothing short of amazing. This show feels like a continuous two-hour encore!”. Tony’s seven piece All Star band, which includes Cactus Jim Soldi, Johnny Cash’s lead guitar player, captures the essence of the Outlaw Country movement made famous by Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson. Songs like; Help Me Make It Through The Night, On The Road Again, Luckenbach, Texas and Folsom Prison Blues are just a few of the songs that make this show a wildly entertaining experience.
The Catalina Concert Series is once again being brought to the island by Xceptional Music Company and presented by Catalina Island Vacation Rentals. The Catalina Canyon Inn, Catalina Island Inn, Hamilton Pacific, Catalina Boatyard, Yamaha Corporation of America, El Galleon, Spectrum Sports, Kona Brewing Company, Ranch Rider Spirits, Bluewater Avalon, The Lobster Trap, Avalon Freights Service, Catalina Beverage Company, Cutwater Sprits, Catalina Flyer, Catalina Express, IEX Helicopters, Avalon Lion’s Club and Avalon Seafood as sponsors. The Avalon Rotary Club will host the Beer Garden adjacent to the stage which opens at 7 p.m.
Love Catalina serves as the official Tourism Authority for Catalina Island.
