Former Florida and Mississippi State football coach Dan Mullen has officially joined ESPN as a college football studio analyst, the network announced Friday.

The 50-year-old Mullen will provide pre- and post-game analysis on ESPN2 on Saturdays, as well as on ESPN on Thursday and Friday nights. He will join anchor Kevin Connors and fellow analyst Sam Acho as part of ESPN2′s regular college football studio crew.

Mullen coached the last 17 seasons in the SEC, four as Florida’s offensive coordinator, nine as Mississippi State’s head coach and four more as head coach at Florida. He was fired by the Gators with one game left in the 2021 season after his team slipped to 5-6 overall, his first losing record since his first year at Mississippi State.

The network also announced that Matt Barrie will once again anchor ESPN’s Saturday college football studio show alongside analysts Joey Galloway and Jesse Palmer. Barrie will also call ESPN Thursday night games with Louis Riddick and Harry Lyles.

Kevin Negandhi and Booger McFarland will once again team up for ABC’s Saturday college football studio show. Wendi Nix is back this year as primary host of College Football Live, ESPN’s daily college football news and information show, with Jen Lada filling in on Fridays.
