Woodbridge, Conn(WTIC Radio)-A Union City New Jersey man faces two counts of negligent homicide and other charges for a single vehicle accident last August that killed two of six passengers riding in his vehicle, State Police said.
Just before two PM August 13th, Juan Fernandez was driving Northbound on Route 15, North of Exit 58 when his vehicle veered onto the right shoulder and struck a tree.
Two of the passengers, Siryania Albino-Defernandez and Zionette M Santos-Degil both died at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Fernandez also faces charges including speeding, risk of injury to a child, assault and reckless endangerment.
He turned himself in to State Police. Fernandez was released on bond, scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court September 23rd.
