BALTIMORE, MD–
A Papa John’s employee was forced to stab a customer who attacked him over missing toppings and sauce.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night at a restaurant in Harford County.
Authorities say 40-year-old Herbert Harris came back to the restaurant after he realized that his pizza did not have the pepperoncinis and garlic sauce he ordered.
The complaint eventually led to an argument between Harris and the Papa John’s employee.
As they both continued to argue, Harris escalated the situation by stepping behind the pizza counter.
Harris then reportedly began chasing the employee around the store while attacking him with a metal pizza paddle.
The employee eventually picked up a pizza spear and stabbed Harris in the stomach.
Despite being stabbed, Harris continued to yell at employees and stayed at the establishment until deputies arrived.
Harris was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
He is now facing second-degree assault charges.
