One of Baltimore's iconic foods has become extremely difficult to find. Berger Cookies - the cakey, fudgy dessert enjoyed around the city - is in short supply right now.
A message on the company's website says, "We are currently having equipment issues and unable to produce cookies. This is a temporary situation and we hope to be in production with minimal down time. We apologize for any inconvenience."
The shelves at Eddie's of Roland Park reflect the problem. They have a sign that reads, "Due to manufacturing issues we are temporarily out of Berger cookies."
The manager of the store says that she doubts customers will find the cookies anywhere in the area.
FOX45 News did receive a reply from the customer service email address. "We are hoping to be up and running by 8.24. We're keeping our fingers crossed," said the spokesperson.
