Rainy and cool again to end the work week

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Today will be another cool and rainy day with a 70% chance for showers and storms, the majority of which will come during the afternoon hours. Overcast skies and widespread showers and storms will help keep our highs in the mid and upper 80s.

Saturday will likely be more of a typical summer-like day with a 50% chance for pop-up showers and storms. We’ll top out just shy of 90 degrees after starting the morning in the low 70s.

Sunday will also have a 50-50 chance for PM showers and storms. Highs will be around the 90-degree mark.

Rain chances will go back up to 60% for Monday and Tuesday as a trough off to our west deepens and a couple shortwaves emerge from it and push across our area. Both days’ highs will be in the mid and upper 80s due to abundant cloud cover and scattered to numerous showers and storms.

Wednesday and Thursday should be a bit drier with a 50% chance for showers and storms. Like the two days before, high temperatures will be below average in the mid and upper 80s. Overnight lows, on the other hand, will remain seasonable in the 70s.
