At least one person jumped out a window and off a roof to escape flames and smoke as a rowhome caught fire in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Friday morning.

That person and a firefighter suffered minor injuries in the fire that burned along the 1500 block of Liberty Street in the Lehigh Valley city, the Allentown Fire Department said.

The fire spread to three alarms shortly before 10 a.m., according to firefighters.

A resident jumped from a second-floor window to a first-floor roof and then from that roof to the ground, the fire department said. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

One firefighter suffered a busted lip while battling the blaze, the fire department said.

Both the resident and firefighter were taken to the hospital for treatment and evaluation.

By the time SkyForce10 arrived shortly after 10:30 a.m., the flames appeared to be out as firefighters used a ladder to access the roof of a home.
