Linda Mueller, a 44-year resident of Tama, presented the Tama County Board of Supervisors with a petition to increase the number of board member seats. The petition was started by a group of citizens wanting “better representation” in their county government. They hope to see this measure on the November ballot for consideration by voters. Citizens of all towns in Tama County compiled 1,154 signatures to present to the Tama County Auditor, exceeding the required 908 approved signatures. The petition reads as follows: “In accordance with the Section 331.203 of the Iowa Code, we, the undersigned residents of Tama County, Iowa, hereby petition the Board of Supervisors of Tama County to increase the number of supervisors from three to five.”
