Gallatin woman charged with felony after alleged theft from Cameron bank
A Gallatin woman faces felony charges after allegedly defrauding the Cameron BTC Bank for $600.
At the time of publication, Jeanie Renay Pettit, 47 of Gallatin, remains at-large after Clinton County District Attorney Brandi Lou McClain chose to pursue charges following a series of events that began with a Friday morning phone call to BTC Bank.
According to a warrant application filed by Cameron Police Department Sgt. Eric Belshe, after the alleged July 1 theft, a man identifying himself as Jonathan Graves contacted BTC Bank at 8 a.m., using personal information to confirm his identity. He then authorized his sister - Pettit - to make a withdraw. Pettit arrived 30 minutes later at the BTC Bank drive-thru, withdrew $600, then sped away. An hour later the real Graves contacted BTC Bank, then the CPD, after noticing the unauthorized withdrawal.
