CLEVELAND (WJW) – The driver killed in a crash on I-90 in Cleveland early Friday morning has been identified.
Juan Antonio Bonilla Lopez Jr., 37, died at the scene of the crash, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office.
A stretch of the highway was closed for several hours in both directions but has since reopened.
Just after 1 a.m., a car crashed into a pole near West 41st Street after entering the highway from the Innerbelt.
Officials say the vehicle was traveling westbound on I-90 at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle split in half, and the driver was thrown from the vehicle.
A wheel from the car went into the eastbound lanes of I-90, hitting two other vehicles.
