Progress Made Towards New Bridge

Progress was made this morning towards a new bridge at the Laclede County Commissioners Meeting.
A new bridge for Bobcat Road has been talked about for some time now, and the stars are beginning to align for the project. Though still early in the planning process, discussions mainly revolve around many different design ideas and costs. Jeremy Manning with Smith and Company, a bridge engineering firm hired by the Commissioners says despite some doubts, funding the bridge should be similar to past experiences.

Funding will come through MoDot’s Off-System Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation or B.R.O. program for deficient bridges. No timeline on bridge completion has been set at this time.
