A familiar face takes over as principal of Zion Chapel School

COFFEE CO, Ala. (WDHN) — This school year, a familiar face has returned to Zion Chapel School. But this time the former social studies teacher and coach will serve as principal of the “pre-k” through 12th-grade learning facility.

WDHN’s Mike Gurspan says “Jared Robison” plans to continue the strong academic success
of the small, close-knit school in Northern Coffee County.

Jared Robison enters his tenth year as a member of the Coffee County school system as
A principal.

The “One-time” teacher of the year most recently served as assistant principal of
New Brockton elementary school. At one time, he also was a social studies teacher and coach at Zion Chapel.

With just under 900 students, Robison hopes to continue the solid academic achievement of the pre-k through 12th-grade school in Northern Coffee County.

Robison says “It is exciting because I know the community and I knew where I was coming back to. When this job became available I knew this was a job where I wanted to take the next step in my career has taught and coached here. I know what kind of kids we have, what kind of teachers we have, what kind of parents, and what kind of community and that’s why Zion Chapel draws you to it.”

Coffee County School Superintendent, Kelly Cobb, says Robison has a solid foundation as a teacher, administrator, and coach. She says it made perfect sense for him to become principal at Zion Chapel.

Coffee County School Superintendent Kelly Cobb says “he has been a teacher of the year, teacher-trainer and I think his leadership and his knowledge will bring a new excitement to the school.”

Robison says he stresses excellence and parent participation in his student’s overall success.
