Man shot in leg on Syracuse’s North Side, police say

A man was reported shot in Syracuse's North Side Thursday, Aug. 18.

Syracuse, N.Y. — A man was shot in the leg Thursday on Syracuse’s North Side, police said.

The shooting was reported at about 7:38 p.m. at 207 Catawba St., Syracuse police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Blake said.

Emergency crews found the man was hit once just above the right knee, Blake said.

He was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries, Blake said.
