Pearl-Cohn football coach Tony Brunetti back on sidelines after in-game collision, facial cut

Pearl-Cohn football coach Tony Brunetti was injured in a sideline collision during the Firebirds' season-opening home game against Cane Ridge on Thursday night.

Brunetti had a cut below his lip and hit his face off the track after being caught up in a play going out of bounds. Brunetti was treated on the sidelines, and the ambulance at the game drove up to the Pearl-Cohn sideline but only to help treat Brunetti's cuts and scrapes. After several minutes of treatment, Brunetti returned to front of the sideline to continue coaching.

The play occurred with about 7 minutes remaining in the third quarter with Cane Ridge leading 14-7.
