A convicted rapist remains at large after escaping out of Arkansas, and he has ties to at least two Oklahoma cities.
A nationwide search is underway for Samuel Hartman and his alleged accomplices.
Court documents detail how Hartman was convicted of raping a 9-year-old girl and tampering with evidence. He was serving a life sentence when he escaped.

Hartman was on a prison work detail when he took off last week. Six days later, he’s still on the run, possibly with Linda Annette White and Misty Hartman.
Crescent residents said Misty Hartman is well known there.
The Oklahoma Department of Corrections warns that the three are armed and dangerous. A Mississippi news site called Darkhorse Press reports that they shot at officers during the escape.
Now, police hope to get the man back behind bars. His prison history shows nearly two dozen disciplinary violations since 2017. Records show 16 violations of possession and manufacturing contraband plus failure-to-obey orders, battery and a violation for having “sexual activity” in prison.
So the nationwide search for the fugitive and accomplishes continues, with Crescent officials on high alert, as well as those in Tulsa.
The DOC said Samuel Hartman has descriptive tattoos of a rose, heart and sword, and the words “forever and always” and “Sam-N-Christine.”
