Dry air continues to throw a wrench into a rainy forecast.
Slower progression of the disturbance aloft has allowed dry air from the north to sink further south into the Texas Panhandle. That has taken with it the chance for heavier rainfall.
Clovis, New Mexico and Paducah have received more than 1" of rain since Saturday morning.
An additional 1-2" is possible in the deep southern Texas Panhandle Saturday night through Sunday as periodic rounds of light to moderate rain move across the area.

I-40 seems to be the cutoff point from healthy rain south to intermittent showers north.
The Oklahoma Panhandle will likely stay cloudy but mostly dry with a much lower chance for rain after sunrise Sunday. Clouds will keep temperatures well below normal in the 70s on Sunday before clearing skies to start the week.
Next week will remain mostly dry with highs in the middle 80s before hope of more rain returns next weekend.
Given the very light rain rates, flooding will be a limited concern.
