Epicenter in Gilbert: What’s Open, What’s Coming

The wait is finally over! Businesses at Epicenter at Agritopia in Gilbert are starting to open their doors, with more slated to roll out later this summer. Take a look at what’s open and what’s to come.

Leasing has been underway since early 2022 at The Tyler at Epicenter, which has 320 luxury apartment homes that sit above the tenant spaces. The pet-friendly apartment complex offers studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom units with community amenities like a resort-style pool, bike storage and a maker’s area.

Air Guitar, which is a unique take on the traditional convenience store, opened in the fall at the corner of Higley and Ray Roads. In addition to a coffee shop, an ice cream parlor, a sushi bar and spot for grabbing pizza slices, Air Guitar also carries grocery goods–and it is just steps away for The Tyler residents.

Beer Barn at Epicenter Gilbert

What promises to be a laidback locale for grabbing a brew after work or on the weekends, Beer Barn is now open. (You can’t miss it thanks to its barn-esque entry, crafted of red corrugated metal.) Inside, imbibers can gather at the bar, on leather couches or on picnic tables to sip and savor the curated beer and wine list in a casual space.

Next up, Belly Kitchen & BarPeixoto Coffee Roasters and Barre3 are all expected to open their doors soon.

A wide range of dining, drinking, shopping and wellness destinations are on tap for the coming months at Epicenter in Gilbert: Buck &Rider, UnderTow, Spinato’s, Bunky Boutique, Gadzook’s, Hooligan’s Barbershop and Wylde Hair Salon, Manor, Matt’s Big Breakfast, Source, The Fit Collective, urbAna, Vintage Home and Why I Love Where I Live.

Most recently, The Beauty Boss Co. and The IVY were announced as tenants, furthering the health and wellness offerings at Gilbert’s Epicenter. The Beauty Boss Co. will focus on high-quality aesthetic injectables including Botox/Dysport, Kybella, PDO threading and PRP while The IVY will be a luxury IV lounge, aiding in patients’ recovery, hydration and anti-aging needs.

In 1999, Joe Johnston, founder of Johnston & Co. and beloved Valley entrepreneur (Joe’s Farm Grill, Joe’s Real BBQ, Liberty Market), started drawing the plans for Epicenter with the intention to bring together the best that Arizona has to offer. Today, the Main Street-style setting will have 50,000 square feet of retail space.
