34-Year-Old Pregnant Woman Pronounced Dead after Head-On Collision near 67th Avenue

GLENDALE, AZ (August 18, 2022) – Sunday, police responded to an accident near Northern Avenue that claimed the life of Bridgette Lee Armijo.

The incident happened on August 14th, just after 6:30 p.m., near 67th and Northern Avenues, per initial reports.

Furthermore, police said a pickup truck attempted to turn left and crashed into a sedan.

The sedan had five occupants, including a pregnant woman identified as 34-year-old Armijo, together with a man and three kids.

Consequently, police said that they were all rushed to a nearby hospital, but Armijo was later pronounced dead due to the extent of her injuries.

Additionally, two adult occupants from the pickup truck suffered minor injuries and were transported to a hospital. A child from the truck was not hurt.

Meanwhile, police are investigating whether speed or impairment were factors in the crash. Further investigations are underway at this time.
