The Paris Mannequin Night will be back in full swing this fall after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

Set for Oct. 15 downtown on the square, the event will include food trucks, local live bands, ghost tours, and a Zombie Walk kicking off the event at 6 p.m., according to volunteer Shelley Landers. And, of course, mannequins will be posted up inside shop windows and in various places along the square and surrounding streets.

Streets surrounding the square will be closed from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. and live mannequins will pose from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The ghost tour will begin downtown and end at the Maxey House.

Volunteers are needed to work with businesses to coordinate window themes and costumes, Landers added. This year’s theme is Comics, Cartoons, and Storybooks… with a strong suggestion to not dress as Disney princesses.

“It’s been done,” Landers said. “However, if the business chooses a specific storybook with one, it will be considered.”
