Little Chiques Bridge to reopen in Lancaster County

ALREADY SETTLED INTO THAT NEW FACILITY. AND THERE IS ALSO A RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY HAPPENING FOR. THE RECENTLY REMODELED BRIDGE TODAY IN LANCASTER COUNTY, THE LITTLE CHINESE BRIDGE ON CLOVERFIELD ROAD BETWEEN MOUNT JOY TOWNSHIP. THAT’S TO BE REOPENING TODAY. AND THIS BRIDGE WAS ORIGINALLY FOR DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL BUT DURING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS, A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY SPOKE ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS BRIDGE, ESPECIALLY TO THE NEARBY FARMING COMMUNITY.

The Little Chiques Bridge on Cloverfield Road in Lancaster County will reopen on Thursday.A ribbon-cutting will be held for the recently remodeled bridge, which crosses over the Little Chiques Creek between Rapho and Mount Joy townships. The bridge was originally slated for demolition and removal, but during a public hearing on the matter, many in the community spoke of the importance of the bridge, especially to the nearby farming community.So, county leaders decided to restore the bridge and save it.

MOUNT JOY TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

The Little Chiques Bridge on Cloverfield Road in Lancaster County will reopen on Thursday.
