TOWN OF SHEBOYGAN - An Olive Garden is officially coming to the town of Sheboygan, which will be the first one in Sheboygan County.

The town board approved the 6,500-square-foot building Aug. 16, after it was conditionally approved by the City Plan Commission Aug. 2.

The Olive Garden will be developed by S Point Ventures Acquisitions LLC and is expected to open in late 2023 or early 2024, developer Andy Stein said at the plan commission meeting.

Located at the northeast corner of Highway 42 and Interstate 43, a new roadway will be constructed to create an access point to the restaurant off Highway 42.

The site will have 128 parking spaces, five of which will be “to-go” spaces near a separate “to-go” entrance.

Road construction is expected to begin this fall and building construction will begin in spring 2023.

“I'm so excited to have this come to our township, and it's a beautiful-looking building,” Plan Commission Chairperson Daniel Hein said at the Aug. 2 meeting.

The restaurant's exterior will be Italian farmhouse-styled, with wood, brick and stone.

“There’ll be a lot of people in this area with smiles on their faces,” Plan Commission member Karen Schulze said. “Because all you hear about is, ‘When are we going to get an Olive Garden?’”

S Point Ventures also has a separate agreement with the town of Sheboygan to bring additional development with Olive Garden to the area, Stein said.
