Bluegrass Festival returns this weekend

The Lake Cumberland Bluegrass Festival returns this weekend to the Eli community.

The 18th annual festival will take place Friday and Saturday at the KOA campground.

Each year, the festival brings a variety of local, regional, and national bluegrass artists to Russell County.

The music gets underway beginning at 6 p.m. Friday with performers taking the stage throughout the day on Saturday, with the first act hitting the stage at 2 p.m.

Admission on Friday is $10 per person and $15 on Saturday, but a $20 weekend pass is also available.

However, admission is free on Friday for active military or U.S. veterans.
