Tolar ISD Announces 10AM Start After Powerful Storms Move Through; Thousands in the Dark

Dallas-Fort Worth (WBAP/KLID) – Hood County experienced widespread damage and power outages after strong storm moved through last night. officials in Tolar about an hour southwest of Fort worth saw damage to homes, the post office and a school building.

In addition, Tolar Mayor Terry Johnson told our media partner WFAA-TV that the water and sewage plant is down in the city. See video here.

As a result of the storms Tolar ISD Announced a delayed 10am start of the school day today; buses will run two hours later than their regular schedule,

Elsewhere across the metroplex, some 7600 Oncor customers are without power in the Dallas Southwest area. At the height of the storm, Andy Morgan with Oncor says that some 18,000 customers were in the dark in the Dallas Southwest region consisting of DeSoto, Waxahachie, Grandbury areas.
