Catskill parole absconder arrested in Albany

ALBANY – Police in Albany, working with the US Marshals Service, arrested two Greene County residents and recovered drugs, a loaded 9 mm handgun and an AR-15 rifle.

On Wednesday, authorities apprehended Antiel Pagan, 22, of Catskill, a parole absconder who was wanted by State Police in Catskill.

Samantha Steenburn, 27, of Cairo was also taken into custody.

Detectives executed a search warrant at an apartment on the 300 block of Washington Avenue and recovered 195 grams of powder cocaine, crack cocaine, and fentanyl, as well as weapons, several large capacity magazines and ammunition, as well as several items used to package and distribute narcotics.

Steenburn was charged with hindering prosecution, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of drug possession, and two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Pagan was turned over to State Police at Catskill for the arrest warrant and will be charged in Albany at a later date.
