Gearheads from throughout the region and state will gather in Maple Lake Saturday for the 11th Annual “Gearhead Get-Together.”
The event is a celebration of everything automotive, and just about any vehicle or invention run by a motor from vintage right up to the present.
Scott Chantland was among those who originated the annual event. He says the non-competitive nature of the event has allowed it to become much more than just a “car show.” He says there’s no telling how many unusual and rare vehicles may be among the more typical classic and current cars and trucks on display.
Some 18 grand sponsors and more than 30 other sponsors invite everyone to a day filled with a huge swap meet, a wide variety of vehicles on display, food and beverage vendors and much more.
Live music from Robby Vee and Pullstart Diesel will also be featured. Also back this year will be the “American Motor Drome Company Wall of Death” motorcycle thrill show.
The festival will line the streets in downtown Maple Lake, and will run from 8 AM to 6 PM Saturday. Admission is free.
