FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Moraine Park Technical College District Board is moving forward with a $55 million referendum that will be voted on in the November election.
The board voted Wednesday to approve the final language for the November ballot.
The referendum would update and expand Moraine Park facilities through four major projects between 2022 and 2025.
The projects include:
- $21.8 million to supporting the Automation, Innovation, and Robotics Training Center in West Bend
- $16.8 million toward updating and expanding the Health & Human Services Facility in Fond du Lac
- $15.6 million toward improvements for the Advanced Manufacturing & Trades Center in Fond du Lac
- $9.3 million toward building a fire training facility in Dodge County
To pass, the referendum must earn a majority vote across all four major district counties: Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green Lake and Washington.
Under the proposed plan, annual property taxes would increase by $21 per $100,000 of property value ($1.75 per month) for no more than 20 years.
