Lancaster 5, Athens 0: The Lady Gales cruised in their shutout win over the Bulldogs.

At No. singles, Scarlett Ward won 6-0, 6-2, at No. 2 singles, Gracyn Gagne won 6-2, 6-0 and at No. 3 singles, Hannah Sheets won 6-0, 6-0. At no. 1 doubles, Andi Green and Gracie Stuart won 6-0, 6-1 and at No. 2 doubles, Kynlee Baer and Olivia Faz won 6-2, 6-0.

GIRLS GOLF

Lancaster places third: The Lady Gales finished third out of four teams in a tournament at Worthington Hills.

Olentangy Orange (184) was first, followed by Worthington Kilbourne (209), Lancaster (213) and Westerville South (215).

Aubrie Bibler led the Gales with a 46 and was followed by Bri Kemp (52), Kara Weaver (57), Storie Humbert (62), Olivia Griffith (65) and Molly Stedman (69).

Bloom-Carroll competes in tournaments: The Bulldogs competed in the Mid-State League Preseason Tournament at Crown Hill and placed and placed third out of six teams.

Circleville (383) placed first, followd by Teays Valley (385), Bloom-Carroll (446), Fairfield Union (460), Logan Elm (492) and Liberty Union (498).

In a dual match against Liberty Union, the Bulldogs fell short, 209-211. The Lions’ Kyley Morris was medalist with a 48.

Niley Mathias led the Bulldogs with a 50 and was followed by McKenna Phillips (51), Alaina Bell (53), Shayla Edwards (57), Bella Sands (59) and Sophia Eller (65).

BOYS GOLF

Senften leads the way for Gales: The Gales were invited to the Families for a Cure Invitational hosted by Hilliard Davidson at the Golf Club of Dublin. The Gales were able to shoot a season-low 332 which was good for fifth out of sven teams. Riley Senften shot a career low 1-under par 71, which gave him fourth-place honors as an individual overall. Parker Cohen shot an 86, Jay Niceswanger 87, Gabe Betts 88, and Josiah Lauderbaugh 89.

Lancastertraveled to Cumberland Trail GC to compete in the Warrior Classic hosted by Watkins Memorial. The Gales shot 348, which was good enough to earn a 12th place finish out of 21 teams. Leading the Gales was Senften and Parker Cohen who shot 82s. Betts shot a 87, Niceswanger 97, and Lauderbaugh 101. 

Bloom-Carroll places fifth: The Bulldogs competed in the Licking Valley Invitational and placed fifth. They were led by Jack Fruth, who shot 78.

Bloom-Carroll finished fifth at the Columbus Academy Shootout at The Club at Little Turtle. Fruth led the way with a 76, and he was followed by Carson Deibel (82), Carter Price (84) and Athan McKnabb (86), As a team, the Bulldogs shot 328.
