Frederick resident Raykquon Dijon Molock, 25, was arrested on Brighton Court on Tuesday, Aug. 16 by members of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office and the US Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) Western Maryland agency following a lengthy investigation into the murder of Cambridge resident A’Corie Young in April.

On Wednesday, Aug. 17, officials announced that a second suspect, Cambridge resident Tamar Jawayne Collins, 22, has also been charged with murder after his arrest in his hometown.

The initial call for service was reported to the Cambridge Police Department, officials said. Shortly after 3 a.m. on April 10, investigators from the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit were requested to lead the investigation in the 800 block of Fairmount Drive in Cambridge.

Upon arrival, officers said that they found Young suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in what is believed to not be a random act of violence.

Maryland State Police investigators from the Homicide Unit conducted a neighborhood canvass and interviewed witnesses in the area, according to the agency, leading them to identify Molock and Collins as their lead suspects.

Specifically, Molock was charged with:

  • First-degree attempted murder;
  • Two counts of first-degree attempted murder;
  • Two counts of first-degree assault;
  • Two counts of reckless endangerment.
