Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County 911 Board was in session Tuesday, and most of the discussion centered around bids for a new generator for the County Building.
There was discussion about which bid was best for what was offered, and what the turnaround time would be for each bid. Since the current generator has been in place for over 20 years, the sooner, the better. After much discussion about pricing and expected deliver date, the Board voted to accept the bid for a Cummins generator from Robert Niebrugge and Sons Plumbing and Electric of Dieterich for $30,750.
The next discussion item was about insurance. The board spoke with Kara Haarmann of Weis Insurance Agency and with Effingham City Assistant Administrator Dennis Presley about insurance coverage for equipment and furniture 911 uses. Further disc ussion is expected at the next meeting after some more information is looked at and shared with board members.
