The Russell Police Department Wednesday morning was looking for an injured man that had fled on foot.
A notification sent through the city's emergency alert system at 6:55 a.m. said the suspect was on foot and was described as a "white male, 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, with dark shaved hair."
"He wearing a black zip-up jacket or is shirtless and wearing blue shorts with an injury to the right lower leg," the alert continued. "If you see him please do not approach and call 911."
An update a minute later reported the man was last seen fleeing from Russell Regional Hospital.
