CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Troopers responded Tuesday afternoon to a head-on crash at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Three people were hurt in the crash on Route TT near Shawnee View Drive around 2:50 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Gary W. Cleek, 65, of Eldon, was driving a pickup truck too fast in road conditions and lost control of the vehicle. The truck hit another pickup truck head-on after crossing the center line before both vehicles went off the side of the road, according to the crash report.

Emergency Crews took Cleek and Kelly J. McComb, 23, of Eldon, to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach with serious injuries. The health care provider told ABC 17 News on Wednesday morning that both were treated and transferred to another hospital.

A passenger from the other truck, Linda A. Baxter, 68, of Sunrise Beach, was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Baxter is listed in fair condition.

Cleek and McComb weren't wearing seat belts, according to the crash report.
