Authorities: Person taken to hospital with serious injuries after hit and run

VANDERBURGH CO., Ind. (WFIE) - Authorities say a person hit by a car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash left traffic moving slowly on Highway 57 at Kansas Road in Vanderburgh County.

Officials say it happened just after 5:30 Wednesday morning.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
