Voter turnout for the Aug. 9 Partisan Primary Election in Barron County ran high in Barron County as 30% of registered voters came to the polls, according to the county clerk.

County Clerk Jessica Hodek said that 7,697 votes were cast in the county, representing 21% of the eligible voters. And in Rice Lake 1,255 ballots were cast and the city has 4,790 registered voters, according to City Clerk/Treasurer Kathy Morse.
