DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The organization that is dedicated to the promotion and development of the downtown area of Duluth is changing its name.
At their annual dinner meeting on Tuesday, the Greater Downtown Council announced the new name “Downtown Duluth.”
President of the group, Kristi Stokes, says the change simplifies the name and more clearly identifies the area served.
Downtown Duluth advocates for the commercial business district from Canal Park to 2nd Street.
They are responsible for the Clean and Safe Team and offer events such as the Downtown Sidewalk Days Festival and Movies in the Park.
