Tech football coach Joey McGuire to speak at Plains Ginners Association annual meeting

Texas Tech head football coach Joey McGuire and former U.S. House Agriculture Committee Chairman Mike Conaway are among this year's speakers for the upcoming Plain Ginners Association's annual meeting.

The Plains Ginner Association is made up of local and regional cotton gin owners and managers, and each year, the group gathers to discuss issues that may impact the South Plains' ginning industry.

This year's meeting is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on Aug. 29 at the FiberMax Center for Discovery, 1121 Canyon Lake Drive.

Darren Hudson, Texas Tech's Larry Combest Chair of Agricultural and Applied Economics, is also on the speaker lineup for this year's event, according to a release from the organization.
